Nando 1 is best described as a powerhouse DJ/Turntablist, electrifying audiences where ever he is to spin. Covering a wide range of genres from everything from Hip-Hop, R&B, Breaks, House, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Latin from 70's, 80's, 90's to present, complete with the turntablist touch to add extra flavor .Quickly climbing up to be one of Houston's premier djs. With 7 years of djing under his belt he has quickly found his love in spinning music. In 2003 after years of being in love with the Hip Hop and house culture, he decided it was time for him to leave his mark.

At first it was hard for Nando to choose the style of music he wanted to play. Being exposed to everything from Latin music from his Cuban/Colombian roots, Watching MTV and VH-1 videos back in the early 80's and 90's to Hip Hop culture to house music attending Underground warehouse parties and the Club music scene. Finding this inspiration in djs like, Dj Jazzy Jeff, Q-bert, Grand Master Flash, Z-Trip, Bad Boy Bill, Erick Morillo, Mark Farina and many more the list goes on.

Nando's style somewhere in between new school and old school influences such as Jazz, Funk, & Soul. Not afraid to drop HipHop and follow it with House, Nando truly is a well rounded Dj.

He has had the pleasure of opening up for acts like, Rob Swift, Total Eclipse, Dj Precision, and Supa DJ Peter Parker. Also blessing the tables in Houston's Hip Hop and other events. Also working in the studio with local producers, rappers, & bands.

Nando is sure to keep the party going strong. You can currently catch him at the Flat every Friday and other Venues, local events or various Dj battles and competitions around Houston. So keep your eyes open and ears to the street.
